Well, kind of. It really all depends on whether or not you actually count the Hall of Fame Game and the rest of NFL preseason as real football. Tonight the Denver Broncos will face off against the Atlanta Falcons in Canton, Ohio, which honestly, seems like a lackluster way for the NFL to kick off their 100th season on the field. Preseason is already difficult to watch, the least they could have done was pick a more exciting match-up. But we will say, getting a look at some of the rookies should prove to be entertaining. We’ll finally get to see what the 42nd pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, Drew Lock, can do now that he’s in the pros. You didn’t think the Broncos would actually start Joe Flacco, did you? Lock is currently sitting in the third-string quarterback position, but who knows, maybe he will make Denver forget they even have Kevin Hogan on the roster come regular season. Other notable rookies to keep an eye on include Noah Fant (Denver), Juwann Winfree (Denver), Dre’Mont Jones (Denver), Qadree Ollison (Atlanta), Chris Lindstrom (Atlanta), and Marcus Green (Atlanta).
Fans, will you be tuning in to the game tonight? Are you going to be keeping an eye on some of these rookies as you prepare for your fantasy draft? Or are you going to do something else with your night and just peruse through the highlights tomorrow morning as you countdown the hours until your weekend starts?
