We’re not just saying this because we’ve stated that Boston must be stopped in this year’s Stanley Cup Finals, but the St. Louis Blues have quickly become one of our favorite teams in sports today. Yes, their fans did ignore tornado warnings in order to catch the Western Conference Finals, which showed nothing but dedication for their team. But now Blues President and CEO, Chris Zimmerman, is going above and beyond for the front office. Late last Thursday, employees received an email that the team’s ownership and executive management group arranged for every full-time employee to go to Boston for Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Zimmerman was excited to give this opportunity to the staff, saying, “We ask a lot of our staff to deliver the best possible experience in every part of our business. Our decision to bring both our core business team and the players’ wives recognizes both the sacrifices and commitment we ask of our entire Blues family to reach the Stanley Cup Final.” Chris Frome, Senior Director of Event Presentation shared, “I started as a video production intern in 1994 when the building opened. I’ve been an employee for 25 years and the ultimate goal has always been to win a Stanley Cup… I’ve never worked or been to a game around Memorial Day Weekend, so to get to do that and go to Boston, I’ve been smiling ever since.”
Despite the Blues loss to Boston last night, we’re wonder what the fans in our front office would expect from us. We’re already committed to providing the fans unprecedented access to our players with virtual meet and greets and the opportunity to warm-up with their favorite players, so what else are you envisioning? We’re all about making sure you feel #PowerToTheFans, help us figure out the right way to do that!
