NFL Wild Card Weekend Round Up – What Do You Mean They Were Eliminated?!

Well, this weekend’s games certainly put the ‘wild’ in Wild Card Weekend! We’re not used to only getting four games, but damn if they weren’t all intense! We’re not *officially* keeping track of the fan score during playoffs, but it was interesting to see which teams you picked! Sadly, you went 2-2, but if it makes you feel any better, your picks are exactly what we had picked. Misery loves company, right? Now for a breakdown of each pick – bold indicates the winner of the game, italics indicate who the fans selected.

  • Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans
  • Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots
  • Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints
  • Seattle Seahawks vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Let’s check out some the most insane moments from this weekend – you know, just to hold us over until the NFL Divisional Round

  • We know we can’t be the only ones to think Bills HC Sean McDermott was off his rocker by deciding to go for it on 4th and 27 with the game on the line. We mean really, 4th and 27?! To nobody’s surprise, it didn’t go well.

  • The Patriots may have had their dynasty ended when Brady threw a pick-six in the final moments of their game against the Titans, but we all need to thank the fan the worked harder than anyone to provide us with this magnificent tweet:

  • What did we learn from the Vikings-Saints game – aside from the fact that the Saints just cannot have nice things? Players from both teams have some *issues* controlling their tempers…

  • We’re not going to get into that ugly hit Jadeveon Clowney laid on Carson Wentz, but we’ve got to say we loved watching our Team Owner | Fan Captain Marshawn Lynch tossing Avonte Maddox to the ground like it was nothing.

  • We’re going to end this on a nice note. After Carson Wentz was quite literally knocked out of the game, the Eagles put in Josh McCown. Yes, the 40 year-old QB that has played for 8 teams over 17 seasons, played in his FIRST playoff game! Just for that reason alone, we wish it had gone better for him.
