FAN Take is a series that highlights trending events, issues, and decisions in the world of sports and analyzes how they may or may not factor into the Fan Controlled Football League. We would love to hear your feedback, so let us know what you think about each FAN Take!

It was only a few months ago that we discussed the fight between Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph on Thursday Night Football, and the punishments handed down to the players involved. So why are we bringing it up once again? Well, this morning Myles Garrett was reinstated by the NFL, just a few days after meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. For his involvement in the altercation, he had previously been suspended indefinitely, for a minimum of the remainder of the 2019-20 season. What many fans may not know about the fight (shown below again, because why not?), is that Garrett tried to appeal the punishment with an accusation that Rudolph had started the fight by inciting him with a racial slur. Clearly, the suspension was upheld, and we didn’t see Garrett for the last 6 games of the season.

Yes, this is all over a fight between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, who went 8-8 and 6-10 respectively, but when you consider the fact that Garrett was the No. 1 Pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, his name carries some clout by default. We previously made the prediction that you, the fans, would not find the punishments fair, considering Rudolph received none, and that the fans would more than likely want to troll the players involved. But how would you handle Garrett’s return? Would you be annoyed that an indefinite suspension was issued, only for the absolute minimum amount of time to be served? Or would you prefer giving indefinite suspensions with game minimums to keep players on their toes? If you had suspended a player in your league in a similar way, would you leave it to the commissioner to decide on when they can come back? Or would you want this to become a league-wide fan vote? Let us know what you think, fans!
