FAN Take is a series that highlights trending events, issues, and decisions in the world of sports and analyzes how they may or may not factor into the Fan Controlled Football League. We would love to hear your feedback, so let us know what you think about each FAN Take!
We’ll start this off by saying there are no Game of Thrones spoilers in this blog, although if you haven’t already watched this week’s episode, it seems like that’s more your problem than it is ours. In Sunday’s episode, you definitely saw Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, even if you didn’t realize it was him. After all, he wasn’t exactly running around in his jersey, and he didn’t look exactly like himself either. His cameo in the final season of the hit show was not a well-kept secret, but we would have liked to see him last a little bit longer than he did.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen athletes make cameos in film and television. Rodgers’ teammates were in Pitch Perfect 3 (we are still scarred from Clay Matthews’ performance), Larry Bird killed it in Space Jam, and Lee Trevino left a lasting impression in Happy Gilmore without any lines. And of course the too-many-to-count NFL players featured on The League. Although if we had to pick a favorite there, it would have to be Cam Jordan and Jordan Cameron addressing the issue of fantasy football fans always mixing the two of them up. With Game of Thrones ending, what television shows would you want to see your favorite players drop in to? Would you rather see them on the big screen in a summer blockbuster? Or do you want the players on your team to just focus on football, whether they’re in season or not? Let us know, fans!
